The Climate Challenge | 1. Smart Savings | 2. The Big Vision

Solution Part 1. Smart Savings

Global temperatures are rising. However, if we can keep this temperature rise to less than 2°C, the current evidence predicts that we can prevent the worst negative impacts of climate change on worldwide communities and wildlife networks, including those in the UK.

This does mean that we need to make big reductions in emissions, but this is achievable.

The good news is that we can keep our televisions, our central heating and our cars, and maintain adequate heat, lighting and machinery for our businesses, but we just need to reduce our use of these items and reduce waste wherever possible.

This can lead to big financial savings, in our homes and for our businesses.

Having a bigger impact and more of an incentive to save
You may not feel that your energy savings are making a huge global impact, but you can have a much bigger impact, by using some of the money to help combat the effects of climate change in your area.

By investing in The Wildlife Trusts' work, you can help UK wildlife adapt to the rapid changes brought about by climate change, as well as helping to provide wild places for people to enjoy, well into the future.

Save money, help wildlife, help people - it's hard to find a reason not to take the Climate Challenge!
